Personal Statement Intensive
The personal statement is often the most challenging part of the application process — not because students lack experiences, but because it can be difficult to see the story that connects them. In this intensive, I guide students through a thoughtful process of reflection, narrative development, and revision, helping them uncover the story that feels most true to them. We establish a strong timeline together, set personal deadlines, and work steadily toward a finished draft that feels honest, cohesive, and true to the student’s voice. Most students complete the process in about six weeks.
May-July only:
My summer personal statement classes are one of my favorite ways to begin this work. They combine the strongest strategies and exercises I’ve developed over years of guiding students through the writing process, offering structure, momentum, and community for those who feel intimidated by getting started. Classes provide a foundation for the larger application journey, and students may continue into Comprehensive support after completion if interested.

Comprehensive Application Narrative Support
Most students are writing far more than a single essay. Alongside the personal statement, colleges ask supplemental questions that require students to adapt their story thoughtfully across different prompts and contexts. Comprehensive Writing is designed for students who want guidance through the entire process — from planning and deadlines to developing a cohesive narrative across every piece of the application.
Together, we create a clear timeline, work through each prompt with intention, and meet regularly to refine ideas, structure, and voice. We also address broader application elements, including the Activities List, so that every component supports the same larger story. Comprehensive students receive priority calendar access, and I offer both 5-school and 10-school options to match a student’s application goals.

The Storytellers Program
The Storytellers Program is a 1–2 year writing mentorship designed to help high school students develop voice, reflection, and confidence long before college applications begin. Through guided conversation, creative and reflective writing, journaling, and thoughtful feedback, students learn to notice meaningful experiences and articulate what matters to them with clarity and intention.
Rather than focusing on polished assignments or rushing toward finished essays, the program emphasizes growth over time. Students begin to understand their own stories more deeply, building the habits of reflection and self-expression that support stronger writing in school, greater confidence in college applications, and authentic communication beyond the classroom.
